A snack that us adults and kids LOVE! Great cookies!

Could be either chocolate chip or Oatmeal, or even those M&M studded cookies that everybody likes. I am a big fan of cookies and I will not lie, every once in a while I will utterly refuse to listen to my dieting conscience and just eat a few cookies.

I love chocolate chip cookies, ones with the huge chocolate chunks and a high butter content. The massive gobs of salted butter along with both brown and white sugars, eggs, vanilla and those HUGE AS HECK chocolate chunks just culminate into cookie heaven.

Luckily, I have the Conshohocken Italian Bakery, which for over 40 years, the Manze and Gambone families have been making tomato pie, hoagie and steak rolls and do not forget, tasty sweet treats to cure our sweet tooth. Unfortunately, their retail bakery is only open during early morning and business hours, and a few weekend hours. If you can get over there for their great bakery items, check it out!

Their website is here: http://conshybakery.com

6a010536f21461970c0120a57aa566970c-320piThey are located on Jones street, between Hector and Spring Mill Streets in Conshohocken. The locals have known and greatly cherish this bakery for YEARS!!! I go their at least twice a week!

But for those that might see my favorite bakery as out of reach, check out these great cookies by Gimee Jimmie’s. These cookies look awesome and for $24, you get 20 delicious cookies. You can get any of the 5 flavors available or a variety pack which has a few of each flavor that they sell.

HotWingsWell folks, someone sent me an email from myspace a while ago asking me about my hot wings recipe. I told them that I have a few recipe ideas before I would like to get to the hot wings. Now though seems to be an appropiate time, with football playoffs coming soon in the states, and the holiday christmas party circuit.

The Recipe
3 pounds of hot wings, cleaned and drumstick/wing seperated (it is best to go to a supermarket and buy the plain, wings that are frozen in a 3 pound bag, which have no seasoning or breading, ) **Wings must be thawed by time of prep and frying.

shaker mix for wings
2 cups of flour
2 tblspoons of red pepper powder(not flakes)
2 tblspoons of black pepper powder
2 tblspoons of salt

wing sauce
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup of hot sauce, any cheap hot sauce would do!
2 tblspoons of garlic
1 tblspoon of mustard

1. preheat deep fryer to 325 degrees.

2. in a large plastic ziplock bag or a paper bag, take all of the shaker ingredients and shake for about 30 seconds to ensure a good mix.

3. melt butter in saucepan. Throw the remaining sauce ingredients and whisk well.

4. take thawed chicken wings, 6 at a time, and shake in bag until fully coated with flour mixture.

5. fry wings in 325 degree fryer for 6-8 minutes, until desired doneness.

6. after wings are fully cooked, throw the wings into a metal bowl. pour just a bit of sauce over the wings, and toss them with tongs until they are coated with the wing sauce.

7. enjoy!

Chinese Buffet Coupons

Yes, this is an unsolicited post, and no they did not pay me off to say this!

After spending a year in shit jersey and putting up with lackluster food places, I must say that I really love the King Buffet in Plymouth Meeting Mall.

These guys do not know how to disappoint!

This is my favorite restaurant to eat at with AND without my kids (ages 2 and 5). The food is VERY yummy and you can choose whatever you want at buffet. The staff is extremely nice to children. The small koi fountain in front and ice cream machine is entertaining for kids. New, expanded sushi bar is wonderful. Some cooked sushi for kids. Kids enjoy choosing from a lot of stuff including fresh fruit and corn on cob. Much fish, scallops, shrimp, and salads for me. Husband enjoys meat and potatos type stuff. Not expensive. All happy on exiting. :-)

His burger may not be the best, but is is quintessential to the theme of his new restaurant, aptly called P.Y.T.
